An online identity carries more charm then your offline character.  Now that social media is working its way into mobile phones, its use is growing.  People with a lack of knowledge on Web securities are leaving themselves open to the online world.  This is a place filled with real world dangers.

Bad people are everywhere, and yes, cell phones are hacked even easier now that people are using them to surf the net.  This is only one of the problems this new social media wave has waiting for users; employers are now using this popular media to learn more about you.

Some tips I can leave you are; learn more about online security, and clean up your social media identities.

Please leave your ideas on what you think is the best form of action in keeping social media from being a bad place to click without thinking.

I am starting this blog to improve my writing and communication skills. I would like people to give me their comments on how I can do that.

I have picked the topic of social media because I am interested in its development. Its growth is an interest that I have watched grow and have engaged in, for almost 20 years. Computers have always interested me from the first time I started playing with them in the mid 80s. Please feel free to give me pointers on my grammar and style of writing.

I would like to have you, the reader, tell me what you think of social media?

I think that social media will continue to join with the social interaction of humans. Its form is now in mobile devices, with more power to interact with other people. The next generation of social interaction is social media integration mobility gadgets (hardware.) The above means that social media like FaceBook and MSN will follow you on your mobile phone.

The unison of software is the next step software developers will take(if the developer wants to win). Software that will interact with all other software and will make all social sites interactive with each other is what developers will want, because that is what the customers want. In other words people won’t have to be on the same social site (Facebook, MySpace,,,) and they will still be able to trade information and files with their friends and other social medias. Now you will have social media on the run and on your mobile gadgets.

With this type of social interaction following people by phone and growing rapidly in popularity, security is still a growing concern, and even more so now that social media is mobile.

My question is: “Where do you think social media and interactive gadgets are headed for in the future?”

I am a first year public relations student and my interest is on social media and the way it is used. I also want to understand where social media will be and I would like to hear it from the users point-of-view.
